Toasted Rice Porridge

1/2 cup of brown rice over very low heat.
Flip it after 10 minutes and cook for another 10 minutes.
Let it cool for 10 minutes.  Keep it in a plastic bag.
Cook toasted rice with 1 1/2 cup of water over medium heat for 10 minutes.

  1. What an interesting way to cook rice porridge! I love porridge especially the very sticky HK style congee :) Do you need to oil the pan to prevent the rice from sticking? Thanks! Can't wait to try this out

    No oil. Just use a nonstick pan over very low heat. Happy cooking!
